ANTI-WAR POEM BY PIPPA

EDIT - STFLDTC TUESDAY 25 MAY
  • Whilst this is a good poem it betrays a certain bourgeois and possessionist attitude to culture by referencing the poet in the title. This poem has been re-named 'Death'.

Death, are you there? Death?
Yes, you're there.
Are you deaf? Death?
No, you are not deaf.
Death is not deaf.
Death is death.
Death.
Death.

I worked with a left wing activist once.
I mean I worked, and he sat telling me why I was a reactionary something or other.
I did him a favour by playing an anti apartheid gig at the Labour club of which he was a member.
On opening the flight case to get my keyboard out this guys older sister said.
"Ooh that's nice, did mummy and daddy buy it for you"
This when I got 'reactionary'.
I said,
"No,I fucking bought it from the money I saved out of the £150 a week I earn making false teeth"
A hard, horrible, smelly job that her brother could not hack and subsequently left after only a month.
I bet that useless opinionated middle class waste of space went on to earn more money than I ever did.
Before you pigeon hole my character and file my comment away, ask yourself what pigeon hole you would like to be put in, by someone who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

It is a very good poem, I wish I had writ it myself.
